Operating as a franchise for the well known removal chain, the managing director understood that he would only be successful if he could respond and act promptly to all his customer needs.
An easy, flexible and easy to use move managment system was developed in Microsoft Access, which is used today in 6 regional offices, such as Sofia (Bulgaria) Belgrade (former Republic of Yugoslavia), Pristina (Kosovo) and Athens.
The system
- keeps track of each individual move's revenue and costs
- works seemingly together with Outlook (e.g. survey, packing and delivery dates are automatically registered as appointments in Outlook)
- does the complete invoicing and keeps track of bad debts
- writes quotations in Word, or prepares them in e-mail (Outlook)
- keeps track of packing materials' stock levels
- handles 3 currencies: USD, Euro and local
- prints management reports of all kinds
